What was in the last one
Sent Sep 12, 2026, subject line 222 of 276 leveraged and inverse ETFs finished short of their own stated…. Its four lists were:
- The income ETFs furthest ahead of their benchmarktotal return minus the benchmark return, in points, 15 funds
- The thematic ETFs that charge most for S&P 500 namesexpense ratio multiplied by the weight already in the index, 15 funds
- The leveraged ETFs that beat their stated multiplethe fund’s return minus what its stated multiple would have produced, 15 funds
- The crypto ETFs furthest from their coinhow far the fund’s return landed from the coin’s, in either direction, 15 funds
Every list is a page on this site, so nothing in the note is behind the email. The note is the edit: which four, out of 79, and what was worth saying about them that week.
What it is not
It is not a recommendation and it does not tell you what to buy. ETFIQ sells nothing and takes nothing from any issuer, so no fund appears in a list because somebody paid for it to. Every figure is arithmetic on a named public source and the source is linked. Standards and sources sets out the whole of it.
When it goes out, and what the figures are
Friday morning. The figures are the previous night's build, which is why every number in the note is dated the day before it arrives: a note carrying figures from the morning it is sent would be carrying figures nobody had checked. The desks are rebuilt every trading night from the filings and the prices, so a list in this week's note can differ from the same list last week because the funds moved, not because the method did.
Alerts are a different thing
The note is one email a week about the whole market. If you want to hear about particular funds instead, a buffer ETF reaching its cap or an income ETF falling behind its benchmark, that is alerts, and the two do not depend on each other.
