Low-volume ETFs with deep liquidity, ranked by what the holdings can absorb in a day as a multiple of the fund’s own daily trading, largest first, as of Oct 22, 2026. Cost to trade is one way for a $10,000 order, half the issuer’s median spread over the 30 days to Oct 21, 2026 to Oct 22, 2026. Capacity as of Oct 22, 2026; own trading over the 20 trading days to that date. Source: ETFIQ.

Method

Every ETF trading under 20,000 shares a day whose holdings can absorb at least 10 times its own daily trading. Capacity is the dollars a day the holdings making up 95% of the weight can absorb at 10% of their own median volume. Own trading is the fund’s median shares a day over 20 trading days, at its latest close. A fund whose capacity is only an upper bound is left out. 6 of the 4,708 ETFs that may be listed qualify tonight.

The rest of the method

The IQ Liquidity Score measures trading conditions, not the fund, and no list here is a recommendation. The list sorts one published figure, with no scoring or weighting. Too new and closing funds are left out, as are funds no longer listed.

Questions people ask

Is a low-volume ETF hard to trade?

Not always. Dealers fill a large order by creating new shares from the holdings, so what the holdings can absorb sets the ceiling, not the ETF’s own volume. Use a limit order either way.

Which ETF tops this list as of Oct 22, 2026?

SDTY: its holdings can absorb 40,524 times its own daily trading, of 6 funds listed.
