Method
Yield here is cash paid: every distribution over the year, as a percent of the price at the start of it. It is not a return, and the price change sits beside it. A synthetic fund holds Treasuries and options rather than the shares themselves, so it takes the option premium without owning what it writes on. 62 of the 91 have a full year behind them.
The rest of the method
The list sorts one published figure, with no scoring or weighting. Every fund ETFIQ covers in this category is eligible, closed funds included.
ETFIQ links to the documents behind every figure; a link is not an endorsement. A ranking is not a recommendation or an opinion.
