A finished outcome period is the one window where a buffer fund promises a number. The promised outcome is the reference's move through the stated cap and buffer, less the fee for the period. Half a point covers rounding and trading costs; past one and a half points the fund did not pay what it said. 469 funds are not measured: no outcome period of its has finished in ETFIQ's record (snapshots from Sep 4, 2026) (459); its dual payoff has terms ETFIQ does not hold in full (4); its accelerated payoff has terms ETFIQ does not hold in full (3). The category's Promise Index leads with the share of its measured funds that Delivered, with the share of its measured net assets they hold beside it. The order is net assets, largest first. The list sorts one published number, with no scoring or weighting. Every one of the 524 buffer ETFs ETFIQ covers is eligible. A buffer fund’s two dates are its finished outcome period.
