The difference carries the fee, the custody cost, the friction of creating and redeeming in blocks, and whatever the market paid for the shares rather than for the coin. Thinly quoted trusts are left out: a fund whose price sat unchanged on more than one trading day in twenty tops this list for a reason that has nothing to do with tracking. ETFIQ lists them on the desk and does not rank them here. The ranking is the published field sorted, nothing else: no scoring, no weighting and no view on any fund. Every fund ETFIQ covers in this category is eligible, including funds that have closed, because leaving them out would flatter the category.
