A large gap ahead of the coin is as much a miss as a large gap behind it, and it is usually the market pricing the shares rather than the cost of running the fund. Read the Difference column beside the gap for which way a fund missed.

The same measure, largest first. Thinly quoted trusts are left out: a fund whose price sat unchanged on more than one trading day in twenty tops this list for a reason that has nothing to do with tracking. ETFIQ lists them on the desk and does not rank them here. The ranking is the published field sorted, nothing else: no scoring, no weighting and no view on any fund. Every fund ETFIQ covers in this category is eligible, including funds that have closed, because leaving them out would flatter the category.
