## About ETFIQ

I've spent my career around ETFs, and I still think they're one of the best things that ever happened to investors: low cost, transparent, and open to everyone. But the information about them hasn't kept up. Fund pages repeat the issuer's marketing, numbers come without dates, and comparisons rarely say what they're measured against.

ETFIQ is my answer to that. Every figure on this site is calculated from public filings and market data, dated, and shown against the right benchmark: the index a fund actually tracks, or the holdings it actually owns. It is rebuilt every trading night and free to use. It covers 4,671 ETFs: 1,712 stock, 716 leveraged and inverse, 684 bond, 457 buffer, 419 thematic, 373 option-income, 86 alternatives, 69 commodity, 60 other, 50 spot crypto and 45 allocation, on 112,981 pages.

### Who is behind it

ETFIQ is led by Adam Patti, who is also CEO of VistaShares, an ETF issuer. VistaShares is a separate company. It has no role in ETFIQ's data, rankings or news, and pays ETFIQ nothing. VistaShares funds are measured by the same rules as every other fund. ETFIQ is not a broker-dealer or an investment adviser. It takes no payment from issuers and makes no recommendations. Nothing on this site is investment advice.

### How a figure gets onto a page

Every night ETFIQ reads its sources directly: issuer files, exchange prices and distributions, SEC N-PORT filings for holdings, and prospectus data for fees. A second program recomputes every published number from the same raw sources, with separate code. Every disagreement is logged and fixed. Each page carries the date its figures apply to, and their source. Errors are recorded on the corrections page with the date, not quietly changed.

### Using it

Use the figures ETFIQ computes free, with attribution and the as-of date. Issuer data stays under its owner's terms. Every dataset is open JSON at a stable address . The methodology defines each field. Standards and sources lists what ETFIQ publishes and what it will not.
